Carleton Ground Search & Rescue Inc. is primarily self-sufficient and all members are volunteers. The larger portion of our funding for equipment, training and operational costs is realized through fund raising and donations.
Organized in 1985, our Team works in cooperation with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), local police agencies and other emergency service responders.
Our Team is responsible for an area from the CANADA - USA border near Perth-Andover in the North West, easterly to a portion of the Plaster Rock-Renous Hwy (Route 108), southerly to Nackawic and Westerly to the CANADA - USA border at Forest City. This includes a search area of approximately 733000 Hectares or 1811280 Acres.
The Team may also provide service to the public by assisting interested groups upon request.

Regular Team meetings are held in Florenceville on the first Wednesday of each month, excluding July and August. The Team`s Annual Meeting and yearly election of Officers is held on the last Wednesday of March. Meeting places are designated by the Team and normally are scheduled to start at 7:30 PM. Regular meetings are presently being held at the Protective Services Building in Florenceville.
